Michael Pezzullo earned his Master of Arts in clinical psychology from Antioch University and his Bachelor of Science in marketing and communications from New York University.
He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is additionally trained and certified in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy from Fluence International, Inc.
In private practice, Michael primarily employs a relational, psychodynamic approach, as well as drawing upon training in attachment-focused EMDR. He provides integrative work to clients using psychedelic treatments and incorporates ketamine treatment into both EMDR and internal family systems (IFS) therapies. Michael has seen Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy fill an important need for clients who have not responded to more traditional therapeutic approaches. Most importantly, he has undergone ketamine therapy himself in order to best guide his clients through this transformational experience.
Based in West Hollywood, Michael’s practice also specializes on the treatment of trauma, mood disorders, and substance use, as well as unique issues pertaining to the LGBTQIA+ community.

In addition to his work in private practice, Michael serves as a primary therapist in both the Addiction and LGBTQIA+ programs at The Camden Center in Los Angeles. He also created and facilitated an LGBTQIA+ identity group for Impulse United, a global HIV advocacy nonprofit funded by Impulse United. Michael is the social media and events chair for the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles. He is a frequent speaker at the LGBTQ+ Addiction Professionals Association. Michael will also be featured in the upcoming documentary “Speaking Out,” produced by Aids Health Foundation.
