At Goldberg Psychiatry, we offer a free one-time 20-minute video or telephonic consultation session so that you can ask any questions about our practice or approach.
We also treat your intake session as a consultation period. Upon conclusion of the intake session, you and your provider will decide, together, whether this is the right fit for you.
Goldberg Psychiatry offers comprehensive psychiatric care, through a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform, from the comfort of your home. You won’t need to download any extra software to your computer or smartphone. The link to the video call will arrive by text and/or e-mail before your appointment time. Your treatment with Goldberg Psychiatry will begin with a diagnostic intake evaluation (80 minutes for adults, and two 50-minute sessions for children/adolescents), at a reduced fee, as a consultation period, to ensure that this is the right fit for you.
Follow-up sessions for medication management are 25 minutes each, occurring approximately once a month. They may be more frequent in times of need, or less frequent if you choose, when things are stable.
Individual therapy (offered with or without medication management) occurs in 50-minute sessions, once a week or once every other week.
Marital and Family Therapy can be performed in 50-minute or 110-minute sessions, weekly or every other week. 110-minute sessions are recommended for the most efficient intervention that saves you time and money down the line.
*In some instances, if you cannot be seen in person or prefer not to travel for your appointment, your provider may request that you buy or borrow a scale and/or blood-pressure cuff in order to monitor your general health when starting a new medication. For an additional fee, Goldberg Psychiatry can recommend a particular device and have it mailed directly to your home address!
You deserve comprehensive care from the comfort of home, but there may be times when you prefer a face-to-face visit, or when your provider believes that an in-person visit is indicated.
For Aryeh Goldberg MD, in-person visits need to be scheduled for Wednesdays between 8:00 am-5:00pm, more than 48 hours prior to the start of the appointment time.
For Hannah Goldberg NP, in-person visits need to be scheduled for Tuesdays between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, more than 48 hours prior to the start of the appointment time.
These visits typically occur in the La Brea / West Hollywood office.
With advanced notice and additional costs incurred, Goldberg Psychiatry offers house calls to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, the Valley, Glendale and Pasadena, combining the best of in-person care with the comforts of your home environment.
Yes, mostly. You do need to be located in California and available at least periodically for an in-person visit if needed. If you plan to travel out-of-state and would like to schedule a session with Goldberg Psychiatry during that time, please discuss this directly with your provider prior to doing so. The licensure laws that govern the state where you are located may allow exceptions to be made.
As of August 22nd, 2023, Dr. Goldberg is now licensed to provide telehealth services to patients located in the State of Florida. For more information, click here.

Your provider will be there to support you in multiple ways, listed below. He or she is available every business day and guarantees a response within 24 business hours (unless otherwise stated in unusual circumstances):

We do not accept insurance, but we're committed to making this easy and affordable!
All payments are made via credit card, which is kept on file and automatically charged at the end of each visit. Goldberg Psychiatry will then generate a super-bill at the end of your visit (or as requested) and will send it directly to your Patient Portal for viewing. You may then submit it to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.*

Our fee schedule will be sent to you prior to your first session. Sliding scale options may be available for those in need. If you have coverage through Medicare, please notify us prior to your scheduled intake appointment. Federal and State laws may limit our ability to serve you at this time.
*Reimbursement rates vary by company from 0% - 100% and should be discussed with your individual insurance provider. Call your insurance provider and ask for clarification on "out-of-network" benefits. Any wish to appeal an insurance decision must be done independently by the patient.
We strive to make ourselves available to patients when they need us. This means that appointments must be cancelled with enough time for another patient to be scheduled.
Please be sure to cancel your appointment one full business day (or 24 business hours) prior to the start of your appointment time. If the appointment is not cancelled on time, your credit card will automatically be charged for the full amount of the missed session.
