Dr. Aryeh Goldberg listened carefully and worked with me to find solutions that work for me. He provided a personal level of care and acted with genuine concern. I can not thank him enough. My experience has been life-changing, thank you for providing the help that I needed.

I’m still unsure. How do I know if Dr. Goldberg is right for me?
We couldn’t agree more! You’d never buy a car without a test drive, and we feel the same about your doctor.
Dr. Goldberg offers a free one-time 20-minute video consultation session so that you can ask any questions about his practice or approach. Dr. Goldberg also treats your intake session as a consultation period. The intake session is an 80-minute session (for the price of a 50-minute session) during which Dr. Goldberg will complete his intake evaluation and discuss treatment strategies with you. If more time is needed to complete this consultation, another 50 or 80-minute session will be offered at a similarly reduced rate. Upon conclusion of the intake session, you and Dr. Goldberg will decide, together, whether this is the right fit for you.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance, but we want this process to be easy! Goldberg Psychiatry is very proud to offer “Courtesy Billing,” which means that we automatically generate your super-bill and submit it to your insurance company on your behalf.* You won’t have to think of it, ask for it, or do anything at all. Like we said, we want this to be easy!
All payments are made via credit card, which is kept on file from the time you schedule your first appointment.
*Reimbursement rates vary from 0% - 100% and should be discussed with your individual insurance provider. Any wish to appeal an insurance decision must be done independently.
How are your services provided?
Dr. Goldberg offers comprehensive psychiatric care, through a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform, from the comfort of your home. You won’t need to download any extra software to your computer or smartphone. The link to the video call will arrive by text and/or e-mail before your appointment time. Just click to log in and your session will begin!*
Your journey with Dr. Goldberg will begin with an 80-minute intake session, at a reduced fee, as a consultation period, to ensure that this is the right fit for you.
Follow-up sessions for medication management are 25 minutes each, occurring approximately once a month. They may be more frequent in times of need, or less frequently if you choose, when things are stable.
Individual therapy (offered with or without medication management) occurs in 50-minute sessions, once a week or once every other week.
Marital and Family Therapy can be performed in 50-minute or 110-minute sessions, weekly or every other week. 110-minute sessions are recommended for the most efficient intervention that saves you time and money down the line.
*In some instances, if you cannot be seen in person or prefer not to travel for your appointment, Dr. Goldberg may request that you buy or borrow a scale and/or blood-pressure cuff in order to monitor your general health when starting a new medication. For an additional fee, Goldberg Psychiatry can recommend a particular device and have it mailed directly to your home address!
Virtual appointments sound amazing, but do I need to be in California?
No. You can be anywhere in the world (with privacy and internet) when you log in for your virtual appointment!
You do, however, need to be a resident of California and, ideally, need to be available at least periodically for an in-person visit if needed.
If you are outside of California and interested in seeking treatment with Dr. Goldberg, please send an inquiry here. Exceptions can be made based on the licensure laws that govern your state of residence.
What if I want to see Dr. Goldberg in person?
You deserve comprehensive care from the comfort of home, but there may be times when you prefer a face-to-face visit, or when Dr. Goldberg believes that an in-person visit is indicated. Any in-person visits need to be scheduled for Wednesday office hours, more than 48 hours prior to the start of the appointment time. These visits typically occur in Dr. Goldberg’s office in La Brea / West Hollywood.
With advanced notice and additional costs incurred, Dr. Goldberg offers house calls to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, the Valley, Glendale and Pasadena, combining the best of in-person care with the comforts of your home environment.
How can I contact you in between our visits?
Life doesn’t happen during scheduled visits. It happens, unpredictably, all the time. Dr. Goldberg will be there to support you through it and he makes himself available in multiple ways. He is available every business day and guarantees a response to your questions or concerns within 24 business hours (unless otherwise stated in unusual circumstances):
1. When you become a patient of Goldberg Psychiatry, you will receive an account with an electronic patient portal. This allows you to message Dr. Goldberg at any time through a secure, HIPAA-compliant application. This portal can be accessed through your home computer, a mobile app, or directly on this website here.
2. Dr. Goldberg can be reached directly on his office voicemail at #310-363-0765.
3. Dr. Goldberg can be reached via e-mail at agoldberg@goldbergpsychiatry.com.
**Please note that, unlike the other options above, e-mail is not HIPAA-protected and should be used at your own discretion with knowledge of the risks involved.
For true, life-threatening emergencies of any kind, including suicidal ideation, please call 9-1-1, or your local suicide crisis line, and promptly present to your nearest emergency room. Please do not leave messages regarding life-threatening emergencies without first obtaining emergency care.
What is your cancellation policy?
Dr. Goldberg strives to make himself available to patients when they need him. This means that appointments must be cancelled with enough time for another patient to be scheduled.
Please be sure to cancel your appointment one full business day (or 24 business hours) prior to the start of your appointment time. If the appointment is not cancelled on time, your credit card will automatically be charged for the full amount of the missed session.
